Do You Want to Fall in Love with Your Life Again?
We have the freedom to create a new and better vision; to take action, to believe in our abilities and that we have the ability to learn new capabilities! We can change the trajectory of our lives! I don’t care what life-stage we are in. But we must first take 100 percent responsibility for our life. This is a truth that I believe most people don’t get! Thinking that someone else is responsible is a lie! If you are an adult, you are responsible. You’re responsible to make a decision about your personal faith. You’re responsible for where you are right now in your life! This is the piece that if you grasp this idea, the way you look at life will change!
Foundations
As an American, it is a pure privilege to vote, and our duty. It is my hope and prayer that you will make the effort to vote, get your friends and family to do the same, educate the young, and research the candidates up and down the ballot, and make wise decisions on who will be determining your and our future over the next four years. Most importantly, pray! I believe in our great nation, and I hope that our demographic of sixty-plus will show up in droves to demonstrate just exactly how it’s done.

My Personal Memory of President Ronald Reagan
One of the scenes in the movie features Reagan and Nancy dining at Chasen’s Restaurant—a Hollywood classic that closed in 1995. Seeing them in the restaurant reminded me of this special experience my husband and I had at Chasen’s in 1989.
The Cost of Neglecting Life’s Balance
As Christians, we often find ourselves pouring our energy into one particular area of life, whether it’s our work, our family, our hobbies, or whatever your particular area of choice may be! While it’s commendable to be passionate and dedicated, it is easy to fall into the trap of neglecting other equally important aspects of our lives. This imbalance can lead to burnout, strained relationships, and a lack of overall fulfillment.
Transition Into Fall Stylishly & Comfortably
When I was a teenager, I always anticipated the August edition of Seventeen magazine because it was full of stylish fall clothes and accessories. In similar fashion, it’s time to shift our focus here at Dressed for My Day to preparing our wardrobes for cooler days ahead. Yes, we’re having record heat here in Cincinnati…
Discover the Joy of Following Your Heart’s True Calling
Have you ever taken the time to think through what you’re really good at; what you love to do, what comes naturally to you, and you can’t not do this thing because it doesn’t take a lot of willpower, you actually enjoy doing it? When you have the opportunity to do this thing, you say yes! I feel so many of us have spent too much time believing the lie that we should focus our time on trying to improve our weaknesses. And if we buy into this lie and we ignore our strengths, our strengths actually get weaker! Then we find ourselves going through the motions of life! We find ourselves with this longing thought of: “someday if, someday.” This is a fantasy that causes our lives to pass us by. If you find yourself in this place, please read on as I hope to change your thinking!
Spark the Joy: 5 Fun Activities to Bring Laughter Back to Your Marriage
You might have to encourage your man to enjoy his loves. My friend Yvonne, when asked what was the most outrageously fun thing she had done with her honey, replied: “Zip lining in Alaska and parasailing in Hawaii. He didn’t want to do either of them, but afterward he said it was the best of times… go figure?”
Positive Perspective in Hard Seasons
Although it may take a while for the next season to come, and God’s plan for that season to be revealed, hang on tightly, trusting change is ahead and forward motion is possible. Just as darkness gives way to light, tears dry, and joy rules the day.
